Judith K. Morgan, Ph.D.

Dr. Judith Morgan is the Lab Director for the CARE Lab. She is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Pittsburgh. She holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Psychology at University of Pittsburgh and is a licensed clinical psychologist. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Delaware in 2010 and completed a pre-doctoral clinical internship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Dr. Morgan has received continuous grant funding since 2013, including an NIMH Career Development Award in 2013, a Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation award in 2014, a NIMH BRAINS R01 Award in 2017, and a NARSAD Young Investigator Award in 2018. Her work has focused on early developmental mechanisms of risk for affective disorders. Specifically, she studies how familial history of depression, parental care, and child response to novel, positive experiences may be related to the development of affective disorders in children and adolescence.
